We collect the information you provide: name, email, password, and the property/tenant/financial data you enter into the Service. We also collect basic usage data (page views, actions) to improve the Service.
Your data is used to provide the Service — showing your properties, generating invoices, sending emails you've requested (rent invoices, invites, password resets). We don't sell your data. We don't use it for advertising. We don't share it with third parties except as needed to operate (e.g., AWS for hosting, SES for email delivery).
The built-in AI assistant uses your property and tenant data to answer your questions. This data is sent to our AI provider for processing but is not used to train models and is not retained by the provider beyond the session.
Your data is stored on servers in the United States (AWS us-west-2). We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
When you invite someone to a property, they can see the data for that property (tenants, units, expenses, maintenance). You control who has access and can revoke it at any time.
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. That's it. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party cookies.
You can delete your properties, tenants, and other data from within the app. To delete your entire account, contact us at hello@clerkfinance.com.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and notify you via email for significant changes.
